Now available: Issue 2 of DE Quarterly!

Dr Don Olcott, Jr., EdD., FRSA visited DE Hub in July. His report and the DE Hub response are now available.

Welcome

Welcome to the website for the Distance Education Hub (DE Hub). DE Hub was established in 2009 as a research consortium between the University of New England (UNE), Charles Sturt University (CSU), Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), and the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).

This site serves as a central hub to facilitate and support the research and dissemination of best practices in distance education in the Australian higher education sector. DE Hub primarily supports research around three key themes:

- Distance Education Teaching and Learning
- Distance Education Research and Evaluation
- Distance Education Community and Open Learning

The site was also designed along the DE Hub project's operational priorities (ease-of-access, ease-of-understanding, and ease-of-implementation) to present a clear and fresh portal to best aid the different learning styles and priorities of visitors within the one environment.

DEHub aims to bring academics engaged in pedagogical research together to collaboratively address key issues in the field and recommend practical and positive changes for higher education sectors worldwide. The DEHub team have unpacked our three key research themes into fifteen smaller research areas, several of which have been identified as priority areas over the next twelve months.

To find out more about these research areas and how you can be involved visit the DEHub WikiEducator site: http://www.wikieducator.org/DEHub
