Submission

It is the responsibility of all authors/contributors to ensure that their submitted proposals meet the Education 2011-2021 Summit submission and style guidelines. Papers that do not adhere to these guidelines may not be accepted. Please check this website regularly for changes to submission deadlines and guidelines. Submissions should be suitable for blind reviewing without any changes being made by editors. As such, please ensure you have removed author and affiliation details from your proposal. Deadlines for submission are outlined below.

Review Procedure

DEHub and ODLAA have established several external committees featuring a collection of international experts to review full papers and research notes submitted for the Summit. These will be subjected to a double blind review process. DEHub and ODLAA have established this review process in part to gain recognition of the work under the DEEWR (2009) Conference publication category. As such, DEHub will ensure that refereed proposals accepted for the Education 2011-2021 Summit will:

  • Meet the definition of research in relation to creativity, originality, and increasing humanity's stock of knowledge;
  • Be selected on the basis of a DEEWR compliant peer review process (independent, qualified expert review; double blind reviews conducted on the full articles, prior to publication);
  • Be published and presented at a conference having national and international significance as evidenced by registrations and participation;
  • Be made available widely through the Conference web site (DEEWR, 2009).
Other categories of proposals submitted for the Summit are not eligible for this recognition.

The reviewed papers and research notes will be assigned one of the four statuses: Accept, Accept with Minor Modifications, Accept with Major Modifications, or Reject. Authors who receive Accept with Modifications notification will be required to address the reviewers' comments and other advice and resubmit their paper or research note. Resubmissions in the Accept with Major Modifications category will be sent back to the original reviewers for another assessment.

Final Submission

If your proposal is accepted for publication, you may be asked to submit a revised version. Feedback from the reviewing committee may advise of required or desirable changes to be made to the paper. This website provides information on the deadlines for acceptance of these revised papers.

The revised version of proposals should include the author’s full details after the title, including affiliation, acknowledgments, contact details, and brief biographical details.
